My name is Jacob Mazelin, I'm a University of Michigan Robotics student, and I'm passionate about robotics and entrepreneurship with experience in ROS2, CV, Python, and C++.

AI Intern at Schupan
At Schupan, I led automation projects across HR, IT, and Sales. I developed a résumé-parsing workflow using Paycom and GPT-4, built a document pipeline to process over 33,000 PDFs with local AI models, automated lead generation with Apollo and Clay, and created a computer vision system to analyze packaging time from security footage. I also delivered executive-level presentations highlighting the measurable impact of these solutions.

My Key Strengths
Leading Projects
With leadership experience including founding a company, serving as captain of my robotics team, and founding the computer club at my high school, I have honed my ability to successfully guide projects from inception to completion.
Problem-Solving with Code
I have hands-on experience programming robots in Python and C++, including using ROS2 for autonomous systems. When faced with technical challenges, I enjoy breaking them down into smaller problems and finding practical solutions through code. This skill has been critical in both my robotics and AI automation projects.
Perseverance
As a corn detasseler for 4 years, I understand the true value of hard work. We would work in the hot corn fields 8 hours every day in the summer and most people quit after the first day. It was some of the hardest work I've ever done, but I never quit. I apply this attitude to everything I do
Technical Systems Knowledge
From working with robotics hardware like LiDAR sensors and Raspberry Pi to building AI-driven automation flows, I’ve developed a strong foundation in both hardware and software. I understand how to integrate sensors, write efficient control code, and test systems under real-world conditions.
